![]() ![]() I don't usually have this problem as I play a lot of life sim type of games but this just didn't feel intuitive. It didn't feel pick up and play friendly as I sorta had to relearn everything if i put this down for a week as the amount of systems felt a bit tedious to all keep track of and a bit directionless. I also had a hard time getting into the gameplay loop. I totally don't mind games that arnt flashy with its visuals and channels a specific art style instead but this just felt very odd to me. It has this cheap indie aethetic that I couldn't really get into. The art style I think is what i found a little grating. The ooblets having 3 different color pallettes to each just didn't feel rewarding enough and felt like a way to artificially inflate how many ooblets there are. I found it to be really repetitive and the amount of ooblets unimpressive or just not standout/interesting enough to care. At $30 I just didn't feel there was enough to be worth it. I think I would have felt better with this game if i had spent maybe $10 on it. Do yourself a favor and experience the land of Oob for yourself.Very quirky and cute game but didn't really resonate with me personally as something very memorable. I’m “finished” with the game’s main story but will be picking it up now and then to collect the rest of the ooblets & ooblet forms I’m missing. ![]() It’s been carefully polished at this point, and I couldn’t be happier. Let me be clear: I experienced NO CRASHES OR LAGS. This is a small price to pay to prevent game crashes or frame drops. Once that’s done, there are small load screens between areas, each lasting a few seconds. The initial game load time can be a bit long, anywhere from 30-60 seconds. The only tiny downside is that there are load screens between areas. The gameplay loop is addictive and never felt old, even dozens of dance battles later. I literally LOL’d so many times playing this game. It’s brings this new world to life with a great storyline & memorable characters, each with distinct personalities. What makes this game so special imho is the writing, though. The various areas are beautiful & distinctive from each other. The art style & world in general is adorable. If you’re a fan of farming/life sims or creature collecting games, you’ll love Ooblets. ![]() 85h PlayedAmazing hidden gem! It’s like a cross between Animal Crossing & Pokemon, with dance battles. ![]()
